Team B Party Assignments
From Isaac: Guild Representative for the parties of Team B
Dear mundane creatures,
My name is Isaac. Much to my unending… delight… I have been tasked with helping you complete the series of tasks that have been placed upon you by your... shall we call them sponsors?
Do these tasks even matter in the grand scheme of things? I doubt it, but the fates will decide as they do, so who am I to say...
I know of three labors so far, and somehow I’ve been convinced to provide some guidance.
Strange that a person of my unique fey background and incredible age would be involved in such matters, but alas, here is where I find myself.
I do so hope you like games of chance, as I will gladly allow you to partake in some, to break up what is sure to be a monotonous chore for someone such as myself. And if you manage to win, I will reward you with gifts that provide great benefit to you or your party...
Hahahaha. Do keep in mind, however, that not all things are as they seem—and great benefit can bring its own share of calamity. But I’m sure it’s worth the risk.
We will speak further soon.
As promised, here are the tasks before you. Choose wisely...
Task #1:
Travel to a nearby town to meet with Queen Silvertree. She possesses a golden casket that you need to bargain for.
I suggested sending you with nothing to see what you’re made of, but I was ignored. So, fortunately for you, a magical cart, some horses, and a chest of supplies to barter with will be gifted to you. Choose wisely what you barter with.
Oh—and ignore the talking fish that is tagging along on this mission. He has nothing of import to say.
Task #2:
Assist a little old lady. No, she’s not a witch like the rumors say… at least I don’t think she is. She had a wand that was dear to her. And no, having a wand does not in fact make her a witch. The wand in question was stolen by a hag, and she wants you to return it to her.
Yes, it’s a swamp you’ll travel through—but when are swamps really that dangerous?
Task #3:
A regal and wealthy bathhouse owner wishes to settle a small score.
A debt is owed, and she’d like it collected. She has chosen untested, unproven adventurers such as yourselves for this matter. Rumor is she came from nothing and built an empire—and would like to offer others the chance to do the same.
Certainly this seems like the easiest of the three... right? Almost definitely…
Hahah. Choose wisely, “friends.”
Oh—and as for Lady Silvertree… tread lightly. She is known to be something of an enchantress.
Should be a cakewalk though.
Endearingly,
or some such nonsense,
—Isaac
