DnD Fest 2025 – Weekend Schedule

Thursday, September 4th (Pre-Fest)

1:00 PM-6:00pm: Registration Opens
Arrive anytime after 1:00 PM to set up your tent and settle in. Head to the Forest Inn for check-in and registration to pick up any additional info on the weekend and your coins! Then get ready for a relaxed start to the weekend.

4:00 PM – 10:30 PM: Casual Workshops (Optional)
We will have a variety of workshops on Thursday and Friday (see separate post). No sign up necessary, just arrive in the designated location. Each session lasts about 30–60 minutes. Drop in and hang out.

6:00 PM – 10:30 PM: Forest Inn Open – Games & Socializing
The NPCs will be inside and the front of the Forest Inn to sell their wares, in-character conversations, or any additional info sharing. Any other gaming will be in the pavilion at open tables. (No open gaming within our outside the Forest Inn, just at the pavilion, thank you!)

  • Evening Fare: Potato Bake and Corn Roast…Stop by the fire and grab a fresh roasted corn cob or baked potato—no tickets needed. Just show up and enjoy.

7:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Live Music on the Deck
Relax with live traditional Celtic music from Brian Bigley and the Cleveland Celtic Ensemble, performing outdoors on the deck.

After Dusk: Campfire at the Fire Ring
Gather around the fire for stories, drinks, and snacks. Supplies will be available for s’mores and hobo pies, but feel free to bring your own favorites.

 NPCs will be available from 6:00pm-10:30pm to purchase in-game items**

 

Friday, September 5th – The DnD Fest Begins

Morning: Breakfast on Your Own
The festival hasn’t officially started, so attendees are on their own for breakfast. Coffee may be available at the Inn. Plenty of breakfast places within a 10-15 minute drive!

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Optional Workshops
We will have a variety of workshops on Thursday and Friday (see separate post). No sign up necessary, just arrive in the designated location. Each session lasts about 30–60 minutes. Drop in and hang out.

10:00 AM – 12:30 AM: REGISTRATION
If you didn’t register on Thursday, you need to do so before the event. All attendees should come and register in the Forest Inn.

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Casual Hotdog Roast
Join us for a laid-back hotdog roast near the fire ring and deck. No lines—just grab a dog and have some good conversation.

1:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Orientation (All Attendees)
All attendees and staff gather at the Forest Inn for a quick rundown of how the weekend will run, party assignments, and DM and NPC introductions. BRING YOUR BANNERS! Each party will be called by name and we want a whooping and waving of your Adventuring Party’s banner as you are introduced before you go on your first adventure!

1:30 PM – 6:30 PM: Gaming Session 1
Your party’s first official session begins. The first 30 minutes are reserved for introductions, catch-up, and setup.

6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Dinner at the Forest Inn
A full meal will be served to all attendees.

7:30 Plant your Banner!
All parties should plant their banner outside the Forest Inn! (Be sure to have a tag hanging from it with your Party name, Team and Party number) .

7:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Costume Prep & Downtime
Take time to change into costume or prepare for the evening’s events.

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Costume Contest and Bard’s Competition
We will be combining the Costume Contest and Bard’s competition into one ‘event’. Join your host, Dianthus Zexxie…yes, you heard that right! The (once) amazing Pop Star of Elladra who will be emcee-ing the event! We will start the costume contest and have a break in the middle for the Bard’s competition! A friendly, fun, and creative talent show for everyone. BE SURE TO GET YOUR REGISTRATION FORM AT REGISTRATION!

10:00 PM – Midnight: Live Music by Brian Kay
Enjoy a full tavern set of bardic music from Brian Kay. He’ll be playing in-character tunes and ambient music to close the night.

 

Saturday, September 6th – Adventure Day

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Breakfast
A warm breakfast will be served in the Forest Inn to start your day.

8:30 AM: Group Photo
Join us on the Forest Inn deck for the official festival photo. Costumes welcome! Gather at the Forest Inn.

9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Gaming Session 2
The next chapter of your adventure begins.

  • Boxed Lunches will be delivered to each party’s area during the session, labeled by name. DMs choose when to break.

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Afternoon Break

A 3-hour break that includes time to level up your characters, Axe Throwing, interacting with NPCs
We’re bringing in a professional axe throwing trailer—fully lit and staffed.

  • Everyone will take 3 to 5 official throws
    Points are tallied, and the best throwers may walk away with bragging rights (and maybe prizes).

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Dinner at the Forest Inn
Enjoy a hearty meal before heading into your final session of the day.
Menu will be posted at the Inn.

6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Judging of Banner Competition
The Judges will make their final evaluation and announce their decisions before gaming session 3!

6:30 PM – 11:00 PM: Gaming Session 3
This evening session continues your campaign arc with new developments and rising tension. DMs may rotate and the story will deepen.

After 11:00 PM: Forest Inn Open
No formal events—Spend time in the pavilion playing alternative games or the campfire area chatting it up with fellow adventurers.

 

Sunday, September 7th – The Final Chapter

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Breakfast
A warm breakfast will be available in the Forest Inn.

8:30 AM-10:00AM: NPC Interactions

Last chance to purchase items from NPCs! Spend your coin as you prepare for your LAST SESSION!

10:00 AM – 3:30 PM: Gaming Session 4 – The Finale
The concluding session of the weekend.

  • Boxed Lunches will again be delivered to each party’s designated area.

  • DMs should build in a natural pause for food before pushing into the final stretch.

3:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Closing Ceremony & Prize Drawing
We’ll gather one last time outside the Forest Inn to close the weekend. BANNER COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED and GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS!!!

After 4:00 PM: Break Camp & Farewell
Pack up and safe travels!
