Costume Contest

Join us on Friday at approximately 8:00PM in the Forest inn for the annual costume contest. This year, we will combine it with the ‘Bard’s Competition’ as well.

The Costume Contest is your chance to step into character and show off your creativity—whether you’re a legendary adventurer, a fearsome monster, or… well… exactly the kind of person who stays up all night rolling dice.

Players need to complete a form at registration to enter!

Categories & Judging

Our expert panel (a.k.a. a group of totally unqualified, possibly bribable judges) will be awarding prizes in the following categories:

• Best Character Class – Show off your best take on a classic D&D class! Are you a battle-worn fighter, a sneaky rogue, or a wizard who’s clearly one bad roll away from setting themselves on fire? Whatever your style, bring it to life!

• Best DnD Monster – Terrify, impress, or amuse the crowd with your best monster costume! Whether you’re a rampaging owlbear, a majestic dragon, or a gelatinous cube (seriously, someone do this), this category is for the creatures of the night… or the dungeon.

• Best Stereotypical D&D Gamer – The ultimate tabletop hero, dressed for a legendary night of gaming. Expect well-worn RPG tees, hoodies repping their favorite campaign, a dice bag at the ready, and a backpack stuffed with rulebooks and enough dice to summon a small deity. Whether they wield a mini, a notebook of chaotic strategies, or an obligatory bag of snacks, this adventurer is fully prepared for whatever the session—or the costume contest—throws at them.

  Winners will be announced at the end of the evening Not dressing up? No problem! The audience is just as important — cheer for your favorites, take some photos!
